Sandstone Rustic Retreat

Both hosts were so kind! We sat and talked with them about the history of the area and they gave great recommendations. The area was incredibly beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommended if you are looking for something different from your normal hotel room!

This beautiful stay saved us from the disastrous stay we were having at Chula Vista Resort. We ended our booking early with that place and reached out to The Dooms to turn our Dells experience around. They communicated to us quickly and made space available with a quick turn over from their last guest so we could check in that night. They were so friendly and flexible. The location has a great dock for fishing, kayaking and more. The views were amazing and two baby deer were mozzing about. It was peaceful and quiet. The private and communal fire pits were nice. Supplies we may not have thought to bring were made available in the main building. Even in the summer heat we were comfortable. I felt very welcomed and cared after. I will be returning to see the dooms in other seasons. One night wasn’t long enough so stay as long as you can and enjoy the closeness of the Dells when you’re ready. 10/10!!!
